This simple phrase inspired the name of the studio and continues to shape everything that is created. Walls hold memories, stories, and experiences — and through pattern and design, THESE WALLS give those stories a voice and a visual memory to attach them to.
Launched in 2015 by Sara and Mick Hingle, THESE WALLS is a textile design studio based in Miami, Queensland. From this coastal hub, beautiful wallpapers and fabrics are created locally, where they are then brought to life in residential, hospitality, and commercial projects across the globe.
The journey began with Sara’s background as an illustrator and designer. Originally from Perth, she spent years working in design and illustration with publications in Australia and abroad before discovering her love for patterns through commissioned briefs. What started as an exploration soon became a passion — and eventually, a studio dedicated to celebrating the artistry of pattern in interiors.
Today, THESE WALLS blends craftsmanship, storytelling, and design to create textile offerings that don’t just decorate spaces, but become part of their story.
